A poor hiring decision can have a ripple effect, from negatively impacting team morale, spreading burn-out, degrading the company's culture and reputation through poor performance, and contributing to further turnover. Therefore, your interviewer needs to ensure you manage your personal and professional life in an appropriate manner, while not allowing either sphere to impact the other. This includes bringing any personal issues with you to work, or consistently underperforming and bringing your work home with you. Lastly, it serves to inform them of how well you manage your time across both spheres.

"I manage my life well. I balance my time by blocking off time to take care of all the stuff that can bog things down otherwise, such as laundry, ironing, and organizing my wardrobe for the workweek. I get my shopping and batch cooking done on the weekends while listening to music. Making sure I fill up my gas tank every evening before I head home, and things like that. I just make sure that my time is organized and all of those predictable little things never get in the way of what matters. I also exercise, hike, meditate, do yoga, socialize, and nourish my mind, body, and spirit at every opportunity."
