Teamwork truly makes the dream work at most organizations, and hiring managers love to hear how their top candidates view success as a team. According to the USPS's news link for employees, they have many distinguishing team-based awards that they give out for outstanding teamwork and cross-functional collaboration. Your interviewer wants to know that you would take pride in their team-based environment.

"When I leased apartments for an apartment complex, our goal was to reach 100% occupancy during the busy months. Each of us contributed to every lease. I made a point to make the most of every interaction with a potential customer, being consistent and always providing outstanding service with a smile. My coworkers and I made a pact to be encouraging and supportive of each other, checking in during our weekly meetings to see how we can help each other reach our goals. That summer, my leasing team reached 100% occupancy each month!"

"Having been a part of team-based sports and activities growing up, I think the best example is when I was part of a group band competition where a small trio wrote and performed our material at a regional competition. As a saxophone player, I collaborated with a trumpet player and a cellist to write a fascinating piece that won second place. We all had equal input and idea-sharing abilities as we wrote the music, and it was a great experience I will bring with me into my career at the USPS."

Rachelle's Feedback
This is a nice example of teamwork. Try giving some detail about how many team members you collaborated with. If this was your idea, be sure to point that out.
"While working as a picker at Amazon, we were short-staffed one day, making it seem that we would not be able to meet our target. My team, which consisted of 15 pickers, collectively decided to cut our two, 15-minute breaks. By doing this, we added 7.5 extra hours of labor, ensuring that we met our target for the day."

When I was working at Target, I had a group project in the cosmetic department. Our goal was to increase sales by 2% weekly. We brainstormed, and we came up with a solution to create add-on items at the register and promotions on items so that they had enough gross margin to make a profit and reduce our inventory.

Rachelle's Feedback
Your response is specific, and the interviewer will appreciate the numbers that you provide as well. I have reworded slightly, to help with flow.
"When I was working at Walgreens, I had a group project in the cosmetic department. Our goal was to increase weekly sales by 2%. To achieve this, we brainstormed and came up with a solution to create add-on items at the register. We were sure to choose add-on items that had enough gross margin to make a profit while lowering our inventory."
