"As a senior technical program manager, there is always a mix of high-priority initiatives to manage. My first step is to ensure that my roadmap is properly aligned with the value stream. I stay up to date on our goals and any changes that affect the priority. After that, I ensure that my teams are properly staffed and that our plans for the next month or so are aligned with the roadmap.

At a tactical level, I work with my team leads to make adjustments to resource assignments as needed. When something unexpected an important comes up, we discuss it and put a plan into motion to make sure we deal with the new challenge while ensuring our originally planned work is completed on time."
