"I try to get to know students briefly at the beginning of my lessons or establish some kind of connection with them prior to jumping into the learning. When I am aware of something they are interested in, I try to incorporate that into my teaching. I also try to always use humor to engage kids. I like to joke and laugh and see them do the same, all while learning the skills they need. That's the way learning should be!"
