"I'm a bit of an organizational nerd. I carry around a notebook and write down important things if I think there is a chance I will forget them. But this is usually just for transitions throughout my clinic days. Every clinic I've ever worked in has its way of communicating and recording data, so I put time and attention into using the system appropriately for charting. That way, it's easier to transition care, and the patient has all their information in the same place. My notebook saves me when I'm swamped, but I try to be efficient and put info directly into the patient chart when possible."
