"I believe a clinical ethicist or a medical ethics committee is a great part of the healthcare team. I took the time to read about Loma Linda University Medical Center's ethics committee and greatly respect what they do to ensure high-quality and ethical care is provided at all times. Every person here has a specific job to do, but having a source for your patients to turn to when it is time to make difficult decisions or for staff to seek counsel can only benefit the overall outcome of any situation here."

I believe a clinical ethicist plays an important role in healthcare teams. We will often face an ethical dilemma. This consultation service not only reduces the mental stresses of health care practitioners by navigating complex ethical issues. Also, it helps patients to achieve proper care. I feel grateful for this provision and think that this service will help the overall outcome.

Chad's Feedback
Fantastic response! You demonstrate an understanding of the role, as well as an appreciation for the services clinical ethicists provide to both patients and staff. While this is a solid answer, you may want to further strengthen it by sharing an experience you have had with an ethical dilemma during your career, if possible.
