"Early in my career, I caught a colleague taking prescription medications from a vault on our floor. While it would have been easy to turn my back on the situation, I immediately confronted him and gave him two options. The first was to let him approach our unit director, and the second was for me to do so. He went right to our director, and I followed up afterward. My director thanked me for doing what I did, and, while it was difficult for a while, my colleague thanked me later on for doing the right thing in a difficult situation."

Before your interview, think of a time you were put to the test concerning your integrity and were able to overcome it with an honest approach. Perhaps a co-worker asked you to lie, or you were tempted to be dishonest on your timesheet when the boss was away. Talk to the interviewer about why you made the decision you did and how you will bring this same approach to work on their team daily.
