"When the fox engine was released to the world, I was part of a team that set the task of making the engine have a cutaway section for a big press release. we were under pressure and a short deadline to get it done, I had two sections to machine, the sump, and the block, which I found easy to do, once complete we had to paint our component. I kept in contact with my colleagues at many points during the day, verbally, I finished my components relatively quickly so I set about helping my colleagues. we achieved our goal on time and then built up the engine, ready for showing off. This gave me great satisfaction on completion, knowing I had been a part of this finished article. I had my photo taken with my team and all the leading engineers who had worked on the fox engine throughout development. A very happy day for me at Ford."
