Diversity and Inclusion are important in the workplace. Think about the benefits of having diverse teams with varying experiences, skills, backgrounds, cultures, and education. Give the interviewer some insight into diverse teams you've worked with and think of additional aspects like age, gender, disabled colleagues, and veterans as well.

"I have worked with diverse groups of people most of my career, including my time in University. I value opinions that are different than my own and find this environment challenging. If everybody thinks alike, that is not only a boring environment, but it isn't a creative environment."

"I am so glad you pointed out your need for diversity at Boston Scientific. I grew up in a small town that wasn't very diverse, so I specifically chose a college in a more diverse location so I could have exposure to other cultures. I have learned so much about the beliefs and values of others that I have brought to the workplace to have a higher level of EQ. My current team of ten people includes people ranging from 20-50 years old, males and females, people of color, and people with disabilities. Each of us also has different backgrounds, education, and experiences, so it's important that everyone have a voice, which leads to many rich conversations, creativity, and innovation amongst the team."

Stephanie's Feedback
In the "Revised Answer" section, I have provided suggestions for improving this response.
I have worked with many diverse groups, through my prior experience in the restaurant business and the construction business. I embrace diversity and enjoy getting to know my colleagues, regardless of their backgrounds or lived experiences being different from mine. In one case, I had a colleague who didn't speak the same language as me, and we sometimes struggled to communicate. I learned to embrace our differences by showing, pointing, signing, and learning words in their native language. I am very comfortable with diverse individuals from all backgrounds.
