"When I arrived for training for my most recent retail position, there was some miscommunication about the length of the training. I was still working at my former job as well and had planned my schedule around what the training manager had told me originally. When I explained the situation to the trainer, she double-checked her notes and verified that she had originally told me that I would be done earlier in the day, giving me plenty of time to make it to my other job. I felt good about the way that I handled the situation -- even though I felt a little frustrated, I went to my manager respectfully and non-confrontationally, and everything worked out just fine."
