Some retail environments offer opportunities to engage in friendly competition with your coworkers. However, AutoZone also believes strongly in teamwork. Their employees are expected to treat others with respect, recognize great work, and provide constructive feedback.
If you enjoy a competitive work environment and find it motivating, discuss your views with the interviewer. If you prefer a more cooperative work environment, talk about that instead. Whatever your preferences, express your ability to adapt to different environments and emphasize your commitment to the larger team.
