The interviewer is trying to get a feel for the type of leader that you would work well with. Your answer to this question will give the interviewer a sense of how well you'd work with the leader that you could potentially be working under.
Think about your prior supervisors. Describe the leadership styles that you have worked well with in the past. Maybe you work well with someone who is approachable. Maybe you prefer to work for a leader that is very direct. Whatever type of leadership you work best with, discuss that with the interviewer now.
