"The Continuous Delivery Pipeline in SAFe consists of Continuous Exploration, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Release on Demand. Continuous Exploration is the continual consideration of what should be built using various design thinking and business-driven standards. Continuous Integration involves the process of moving stories out of the program backlog and into development teams. Additionally, this includes the process of full integration into the final solution that is tested and ready to be released.
Continuous Deployment involves the standards for moving products from staging or testing environments into a production setting in an efficient and continuous manner. Finally, Release on Demand is the culmination of the other three aspects. It allows feature sets to be released as soon as the customer is ready for them. It demonstrates that the right features were built, they are integrated properly, and they can be easily deployed or rolled back for fixes if necessary."
