"I worked as a scrum master of a development team for a banking corporation. My team was responsible for the user online bill pay functions of our banking app. We were a part of an Agile Release Train that included the teams that managed similar functions on the website, teams that handled integrations with third parties, the team responsible for the necessary accounting functions that were engaged when a bill was processed online, and the team that handled the automated help features for these functions.
I often met with the Release Train Engineer to discuss challenges and ensure the work my team was engaged in was in alignment with the vision for the ART. I also led demos for our features during inspect and adapt meetings. Most of our metrics were transparent and readily available for the RTE or other senior managers on-demand, but I got involved from time to time if there were questions about a particular decision or data point.
Our organization relied on an Essential SAFe model at the time I was there. We did not yet have a defined Portfolio or Value Stream level to align with."
