What options do you have to resolve a situation in which your OCR is corrupted?

The only thing worse than not being able to access the organization's data is having corrupted data. Since the errors in corrupted data may be difficult to locate, it often requires a data reset from the backup files. Interviewers will ask you how you can respond to a situation in which you believe the OCR is corrupted to ensure that you can quickly and flawlessly bring the organization back to full operations quickly and flawlessly.

When describing how you would restore data once you know that the OCR is corrupted, keep your explanation brief and to the point. You want to convince the interviewer that you can easily do this while not diminishing the importance of this issue. By asking about this, the interviewer indicates that the organization may have already had issues with this or are concerned about it. Your answer to the question should reflect that you also consider this a serious issue and can deal with it.

"If I recognize that the OCR has been corrupted, my options are to use either the logical or the physical OCR backup copy to restore the Repository. This can be done quickly so that organization's downtime is minimized and the users have access to the OCR."
