Even though the interviewer has already asked you about your backup strategy at another point in the interview, they may circle back to this later on. There are no rules about when the interviewer can ask you questions about the same topic during an interview. Interviewers will either group questions about a topic and then move on to a new topic or spread them out throughout the interview. You need to be prepared for both styles.

Don't be surprised if you are asked about a topic you addressed earlier in the interview. Interviewers circle back to topics to either get more information or clarify an answer you provided earlier in the interview. They may also do this to calibrate your answers to see if you are being consistent throughout the interview. When responding to a question similar to the one you were asked earlier, try to remember your previous response so your answer will be aligned with it.
