What are some clinical skills that you feel proficient performing that could be utilized in the medical assistant role at our facility?

"Having been a medical assistant for several years now, I have learned several administrative and clinical skills. Some of the clinical skills I've learned are specimen collection and transporting, obtaining EKGs, and assisting with wound care. There are so many things that a medical assistant can do and I look forward to seeing where I will be a good fit within your facility."

Not everyone is skilled in every single area of clinical care. However, whatever your strengths are, you should be able to highlight them and why you feel they could be of benefit to the employer. It's good to be confident, just remember to be humble rather than arrogant.

"I actually took a course as an EKG tech a couple of years ago and have kept that certification current. My most recent employer used me to perform all of the EKGs in his office."
