As a successful Court Clerk, you have many accomplishments. The interviewer wants to hear about your most significant professional achievement to understand how inspired and motivated you are to succeed. Employees who set goals and achieve them are more productive and happier in the workplace. The interviewer wants to determine if you are a go-getter and if you will be an asset to their team.

"When I enrolled in college to become a Court Clerk, I knew it would take me a while, as I was only able to attend night classes. I gave myself a time frame for school and was realistic about completing the training while working full time. I set a deadline for when I wanted to complete my certification and studied hard to get there."

Tell the interviewer that you set goals for yourself and work towards achieving them. Show that you can follow through and are ambitious. Give an example of an achievement that shows these characteristics. Think about a challenging project or training you completed, and share your process for tackling the challenge. Focus on an accomplishment related to the position for which you are interviewing.

My greatest accomplishment has been getting back to school to work on my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice Administration.

Alexandra's Feedback
Cool answer! Be prepared to explain why this is your biggest accomplishment - what about it is special and makes you proud? That's what I would ask if I were the interviewer.
Anonymous Answer
My greatest accomplishment so far is getting my master's in criminal justice. I decided to complete it online so that I could also work, and it was the most rewarding experience I've had so far. I learned a lot about commitment and dedication towards myself and the things that I wanted to accomplish throughout the program.

Rachelle's Feedback
Good for you! This is a fantastic accomplishment that you should be very proud of. Completing a master's online takes a lot of discipline, so this characteristic will undoubtedly shine through.

I would say passing the court clerk exam having not had any legal experience or classes in the past. It involved finding time to study while working full time in the courts, at lunchtime, and after work. Also, the exam took place after only 4 months of my first court position.

Cindy's Feedback
Great! Why was this your best accomplishment? Describe the effort you put in or obstacles you encountered in more detail.
Anonymous Answer
My greatest accomplishment thus far is graduating with a degree in criminology from the University of Maryland and doing it with an above-average GPA.

Chad's Feedback
This is an incredible accomplishment to focus your answer on, and you should be very proud of yourself for earning your degree! To strengthen your response, explain to the interviewer why this is your biggest accomplishment to date - what specific challenges did you overcome in order to graduate? Also, if you achieved an above-average GPA, include it in your response to further support your accomplishment.
