While I do not have experience working in a court environment, I do have experience being in a court environment. While interning with the police department, I got opportunities to get a behind the scenes look on the process that leads to trials, including the processing evidence and the process of selecting a jury. I also got opportunities to see the process of cases that did not go to trial. I appreciated seeing everything that needs to take place before some cases can make it to the courtroom.

I like working in a court environment because you get to see a variety of cases, learn from each action, and assist members of the community. I can make a difference by handling each case with courtesy and professionalism and by providing as much assistance as possible.

I only have experience drafting court documents and submitting applications to court. You learn which procedural concerns are important to a judge and which aren't. It's important never to take things for granted.

A couple of recommendations:
1) Beware of 'you' phrasing vs. owning your answer as a personal 'I' statement. This is a fundamental shift to make for a job interview.
2) Avoid starting an interview response with a statement of 'I've only...I do not...I have not...' Try coming from a place of what you *do* have.
3) Are you able to explain your thoughts regarding 'never taking things for granted' and how it applies to the question?

Overall, I enjoy it. Of course, there are always stressful situations, especially at the beginning while learning a new role and if there are disruptive situations. However, hopefully, we can handle these times calmly, diffuse the stress and solve problems.
