"I worked several different jobs before becoming an application integration engineer. These are summarized in my resume. I don't think I would be qualified for this role, having not acquired the necessary skills and experience through these other jobs. I started my career as a systems administrator, maintaining the IT infrastructure for companies, including both the hardware and the applications the company used. I then moved on to a role as a software engineer. This provided me with a great deal of background about software applications, their dependencies, and how they integrate into the hardware and software environment of the organization. Next, I spent time as a software consultant, making recommendations about what software applications a company should adopt and how they could quickly integrate into their existing environment. I believe all of these roles prepared me for this job."
