"There are many details that need to be considered during the planning and design phase of any application integration project. These range from the business considerations through technology, and finally, user experiences and support requirements. While each project is different, some of the common details I consider for each of my designs are the business objectives, application functionality, ease of integration, adherence to standards, costs, vendor reputation, required training, and documentation. Each of these is weighted differently for each project depending on its importance to the project stakeholders."
