As with any profession, the job isn't done until the paperwork is finished. Documenting your activities is a critical part of the application analyst's job. There are several reasons for this. The first is to create a record of what you've done that you and other analysts can use to review the work. It also makes it easier to recreate the job or do something similar when analyzing another application. The final reason is that there may be compliance requirements that require documentation. No matter the reason, you should describe which of your activities you document, the system you use, and how to retrieve the information if necessary.
