If you had a co-worker call in sick and you were asked to take over their project requiring overtime from you, how would you react?

The interviewer is trying to assess if you are a team player who will perform what is asked of you. Be confident in your ability to handle the extra workload.

"I will always choose to be a team player. If I had a co-worker call in sick, I would take over what I was capable of doing. The only time I would draw the line would be if I felt I was being taken advantage of for any reason. For example, if they were purposefully being inefficient and expecting me to pick up the slack. For the sake of the company, I am always willing to go above and beyond the expectations."

"So long as my willingness to jump in is not taken advantage of, I am happy to help when my company is in a pinch. When the tables turn, and I may be ill, it would be nice to know that someone will be there to help me out as well."
