Describe your experience working with clinical research studies.

Syneos Health employs many clinical research team members. including clinical research associates, scientists, nurses, and managers, to name a few. Regardless of the position you're applying for, the interviewer will want to know more about your experience with clinical research studies or trials. Read the job description thoroughly to pick out skills they are looking for, and speak to those areas in your response. Give a high-level overview of your roles and responsibilities and the areas of study you're familiar with (vaccines, medications, etc.).

"I have been a clinical research coordinator for about ten years and have been assigned to several cancer-related clinical trials ranging in size from 10 participants to 100 participants. As a coordinator, my roles have included overseeing recruitment for studies, ensuring ethical research standards are followed throughout the study, and administering exit questionnaires to participants. As a coordinator, I have worked with a diverse group of professionals on clinical trials and love being a part of such a collaborative and robust team."

"As a clinical research assistant, my main duties were related to participant management. In my five years at my current company, I have recruited and enrolled over 500 participants for various vaccine trials. Additionally, it was my responsibility to communicate with participants throughout the study and keep meticulous notes and documentation throughout. I often served as a liaison in the process and would be the point of contact when participants had questions or concerns."
