What sources do you look to when you need to solve a complicated problem on the job?

"When faced with a complicated problem in my current role, I will look to the resources my current company has provided me. The answer is almost always in there. If it's a moral dilemma rather than a knowledge-based dilemma, I will ask my director or team lead for their thoughts and opinions since I value them as mentors and experts in our industry."

"First, I try to pick apart the issue to find the true source. From there, I think of different ways of solving the problem. It all comes down to finding the solution that is the most efficient, cost-effective, and best for the end user, and I base my solution off of those factors."

If you work in the medical field, you may turn to textbooks, online research, colleagues, or even a patient's history to find the right solution. If you work in customer service, you may ask the customer what they need to find the best way to solve the problem.
