The average HireVue interview takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. This one-way video interview typically includes 3-5 questions. Depending on the HireVue parameters set by Morgan Stanley, the asynchronous interview platform will generally give you 30 seconds to prepare a response and up to 2 minutes to answer each question. "(Situation) As Finance Manager with Company XYZ, my team must successfully collaborate during our busy year-end season. We put in overtime shifts and bring our clients' books to a close together as one cohesive team. (Task) During year-end, I take the role of the project lead. (Action) I work diligently to ensure streamlined processes and that each team member feels like a valued contributor. My approach during these high-demand times is to encourage the team to deliver their best work while being a helpful resource to their team members. (Result) This year, our team completed its year-end work with such incredible efficiency that we shaved an entire day off our schedule. The experience was nearly flawless. Team conflict was minimal, despite the mental strain everyone felt. Morgan Stanley includes 'Put Clients First' as one of its five core values. This value includes the statement, 'Work with colleagues to deliver the best of the Firm to every client.' If hired, I will prioritize collaboration and actively contribute to this culture of partnership and teamwork, ensuring our clients' needs always come first."

Several years ago, I lead a team of 8 HBS alumni on a volunteer consulting engagement for a Charter High School in an underserved district of Brooklyn helping them structure and implement a 13th-grade work readiness program for an increasing number of students who are not able to continue to college. The road map for implementation which I helped craft and which we left with the client was described by senior members of the organization as one of the most superb piece of work the organization had produced in many years.

Nice! This is a great example to cite because it will give the interviewer an idea of who you are outside of work. It's wonderful that you participated in a volunteer engagement with the goal of helping underserved students. Can you give a few more details about exactly how you crafted the roadmap? Be sure to also give credit to your team but emphasize the role you played in creating it. Did it end up being implemented? If so, don't forget to mention that as well. Excellent job!
