The interviewer would like for you to take a few minutes to highlight your educational background. You can mention your GPA, your major or minor and also any accolades and awards that you received during your university career. If you were involved in student-led clubs or other extracurriculars, you could mention that as well.
"My degree in Chemical Engineering has prepared me in a few ways. My degree came with a heavy focus on petroleum, which included safety issue reviews such as blowouts, fire, and other hazards. I also learned a great deal about hydrate formation and decomposition, H2S, toxic gases, and safe transportation and disposal of petroleum wastes. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA and was also president of the Student's Union, rounding out my time with some leadership experience."

I have five years working for a leading oil and gas company. My experience has gained me a strong work ethic, my ability to problem solve, attention to detail, core values in my employer, and how to practice these qualities daily. The time I have spent for my previous employer has instilled strong, safe work practices and how to recognize and avoid hazards that we as operators could encounter.

Rachelle's Feedback
This is a nice overview of your experience. Do you have any on-the-job training that you could include in your response?

Working 15 years in the oil, gas, and energy sector have helped me hone in on skills I had no idea that I have. By attention to detail, goal-oriented, planning your work, and working your plan. I have made it to the top level with my current employer as a lead operator and I lead by example. By following all SOP documentation, make sure that it's a safe work environment for everyone. Helping my team troubleshoot problems that arise while on the job or figuring out a situation that may arise. I always say it's best to be proactive and not reactive but if you have to be reactive, the best way to do it is with a sense of urgency and to stay calm under stressful situations.

Nice! Do you have any degrees, training, or certifications you can also mention here? If so, don't forget to list them since this question specifically asks about your education. Otherwise, you've done a good job of detailing all the skills you've picked up while on the job. The interviewer will undoubtedly be impressed by all of your experience! Great job.
