"I noticed several variances in the way the consultants at my current firm used our CMS system to keep track of client project notes. The information kept in the system can be very valuable when getting up to speed on a new client or transitioning your team's work to another consultant. Given the lack of structure, our consultants would frequently miss opportunities or have repeat discussions with clients that could have been avoided.
I worked with my management and spearheaded an effort to streamline the client notes screens in the CMS. We also developed procedures to ensure that the information was regularly reviewed for accuracy and updated as needed. While it can be difficult to quantify changes like these, several of my superiors and coworkers have mentioned that the updates have been a huge help when working with clients.
