It is important to convince your interviewer of three things when answering this question. First, let them know that you believe Gulfstream is a top choice for your next professional opportunity. You don't have to lie if they aren't your #1, but it is important to convey that you're impressed with the company and consider it a great opportunity.

Second, offer your interviewer a specific example of how the role at Gulfstream aligns with your professional goals. Gulfstream is invested in hiring top talent and their investment is best when they hire candidates who can achieve their goals at Gulfstream.

Third, it is helpful to offer a specific detail of why you want to work for a company that lies outside of your goals. This may include your belief in their values, or your desire to share in their rich culture. You may even mention a friend who works for Gulfstream and thinks you'd be a perfect fit.

Gulfstream is my top choice because the products you develop are exciting to me from a technical perspective. As a systems engineer I am intrigued by the cutting-edge technology projects I would be working on and the talented teammates I would be working with if hired. I feel I could leverage my current flight control and landing gear skillsets while gaining experience in environmental control systems. Finally, I have a friend who currently works at Gulfstream and they speak very highly of the company culture. For those reasons, I look forward to the opportunity to join the team at Gulfstream.
