The interviewer is curious about where your field of expertise or unique strengths lie. Whether your aerospace experience comes from private or public entities, be prepared to explain how your unique experience is transferable to this role. If the job description or job posting from Blue Origin suggests a preference for one over the other, focus your answer on that range of experience.

I don't currently work in the aerospace sector, but work in a very niche industry of undersea photonic cables. My Company designs, qualifies, builds, and deploys turnkey undersea cable systems to our clients around the world to connect continents with the internet. About 70% of our customers are public sector Companies and about 30% are the government.

Stephanie's Feedback
You do an excellent job of highlighting your experience in a very unique and niche industry. However, this employer states that they're specifically looking to hire someone with aerospace experience, I suggest intentionally highlighting some of the specific transferrable skills that you've gained from the industry of undersea photonic cables. What unique skills have you gained that will translate into a role in the aerospace sector?
