One's leadership potential can often be exemplified in how one shows initiative, prioritizes the needs of the team, anticipates the needs and decisions of their leaders, and keeps their eyes on the big picture. It could also be demonstrated in identifying growth opportunities, volunteering for something rather than waiting to be volunteered, coaching others, and seeking feedback. While considering how to answer this question, try to align your values and language with theirs. As stated in Blue Origin's Leadership Principles, "Titles don't define leaders; behavior does."

"I believe everyone can be a great leader if given the right environment and opportunity. When focusing on your teams and collaboration, it comes naturally. I had a new coworker who was having some trouble fitting in. I took them out for lunch and shared the workplace culture and semantics surrounding the various departments. I wanted them to stay and enjoy their employment with us, so I took the responsibility of ensuring they were settling in well. I believe there are always leadership opportunities - you have to keep your eyes open."
