The interviewer knows that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work for tutoring, and they want to hear that you understand this too. Simply share that you will meet students where they are at, and you will create a plan for teaching students based on their abilities. You will have to frequently change your approach.

"Every student's ability varies from each to the next. Knowing students' unique interests, strengths, weaknesses, and preferred learning styles is important to best teach them. I like to ask students and their parents questions to identify areas of weakness and how they learn best. This helps me tailor my instruction to meet their needs. When I switch up instruction I might share more visuals, or come up with songs to learn the material, make flashcards, show videos, or play review games."
