As a home health aide, you may be asked to work an unpredictable schedule so that you are available based on your patients' needs. Display to the interviewer that you are flexible and willing to be a team player. If you do have any availability issues due to school, childcare, or something else, describe your availability and how you will do everything possible to work with their schedule.
"I understand that in this line of work, my schedule will be unpredictable at times. I am happy to make myself available as needed. I prefer shift work, but I am available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. The only availability issue I may have at times is if my child is sick and cannot go to daycare. But, I have family that lives close by who can step in to help if that happens, so it should not be an issue."
