"I have carved a very successful career for myself, within environmental science, over the past decade. After graduating high school, I spent one year traveling to a variety of undeveloped countries. This trip changed the way that I thought about the way we consume and pollute in our more developed countries. This was when I decided that I could make a difference by working in environmental science."

It all started when I was young. I've always been interested in the natural world, while everyone else my age grew up watching the Disney channel, etc. my TV stayed on Animal Planet and the National Geographic channels. From the time I was able, I caught and studied everything I could while learning from the greats (Jane Goodall, Steve Irwin, David Attenborough). When I got older, I began to notice all the changes the world was going through, from deforestation to water/air/soil pollution, I learned what I could; I even went to school for it. I want to make a difference, no matter how small. And I feel with this job I would be able to not only make that difference but broaden my own knowledge.
