It's time to show the interviewer why you are passionate about your career as an Electrician. You can answer this question from a more personal perspective to allow the interviewer to get to know you a bit better. However, be sure to tie it all in professionally at the end of your response.

"I always knew that I wanted to be in the trades. My uncle, who I looked up to a lot as a kid, was an Electrician. I would spend a lot of time shadowing him and loved the pride he took in his work. My critical thinking and problem-solving skills have always been strong, so I had a natural attraction to this career path."

This is one of my dream jobs. I think I would fit in with this kind of job. I like to use my brain and do physical labor simultaneously.

I knew I wanted to become an Electrician while working on construction sites in Melbourne, Australia. The physical nature of working on-site gave me a real drive to pursue this as a career as previously I had been working in an office for 10 years. While working with Electricians as a laborer I realized that it was a career I could get a great education if I pursued. This was very important to me after leaving the 10-year career in IT with no formal education in the field I worked.
