The best dentists are most often able to blend science and art into their practice and see their work of creating beautiful smiles as an art form. Your interviewers want to know that you would come to their dental school program with at least a bit of a creative side.

"I consider myself a creative individual as I love to draw and paint. These are passions I've had since a young age, and I can't wait to put my artistic skills to work in helping crown and reconstruct the smiles of future patients."

Ryan Brunner has over ten years of experience recruiting, interviewing, and hiring candidates in the healthcare, public service, and private manufacturing/distribution industries.
Talk to the interviewers about any interest that you have in creative activities and how you might be able to implement your creative desires into a future practice in dentistry. Even if you do not consider yourself a 'creative person,' there are some pieces of your work and interests that you can put into practice during your time as a dental student in this program.

Yes, I would consider myself a creative person because I love to sing, dance, and do photography. I bought a DSLR camera seven years ago and started doing photography since then. I love taking and editing photos of nature and people to make them look the best. I knew that photography is also a big part of dentistry and I am looking forward to applying my skills to thrive in dentistry.
