How will you handle working under very close supervision as a dental student with our program?

"I am honestly looking forward to being trained, mentored, and supervised by the world-class staff here at your dental school. A few years ago, I worked as a sous chef. For the first month, I was under very close supervision of the executive chef of the high-end restaurant. While others may have been intimidated in this situation, I looked forward to learning from the best and honing my skills. I asked questions and took the time to watch and learn. I would take this same approach in learning from your faculty."

If possible, give an example of a time you worked closely with a boss, professor, or someone in a position of authority. Talk about the importance of being mentored and groomed as a new dental student, and explain that you are willing and ready to be in this environment. If needed, finish your reply by asking what the student/faculty relationship is like at the institution you are interviewing.
