What do you like to do for fun outside of your medical training?

Your interviewers will pose some questions to get to know you throughout your time with them. They want to get a feel for who you are and what motivates you. They ask this question to ensure that you will partake in activities outside your Critical Care fellowship training that recharge you physically and mentally.

"For fun, I am very avid in the outdoors. This includes hiking, mountain biking, and camping. I love that training in your program would provide many great opportunities to explore new places with all three of these hobbies. I'm also very enthralled in cooking and exploring new cuisines to learn how to cook. This keeps the creative side of my brain active."

This question is more likely to be asked by senior fellows rather than attendings. This question asks what is unique about you as a person. Pick some popular activities to show that you would get along with the current fellows, as well as some unique activities to project yourself as a memorable person. Expect follow-up questions about your interests.
