Working with hazardous materials can be a risk to your own life and the lives of those around you if you do not follow proper safety protocols. Not following proper safety guidelines, like disposal of chemicals and wearing personal protective equipment in the lab, could result in a serious injury, a fire, or even death. I also know that not following standard lab procedures can result in the invalidation of testing, which would result in rework and be costly to the company."
