Tell us about a personal goal that you have. What action steps have you taken towards achieving that goal?

The interviewer wants to know that when you make a goal inside or outside of work, you will take the necessary steps to achieve that goal. This is a great time to talk about a volunteering goal that you were able to reach, such as raising money for a good cause. You could also use an extracurricular activity. Maybe you had a particular wellness goal for yourself, such as hiking or running a 5k. You could even speak about a goal that you made during your educational experience.

"In college, my goal was to get an 80% or higher in all of my classes. This was not an easy goal for me to reach because there was one class in particular that I struggled in. To achieve my goal, I sat closer to my professor during lectures, took on as much extra credit as I could, and partnered with another student in my class to study twice a week. By the time I took my final, I was able to get my grade high enough to reach my goal. I understand that if I want to reach my goals, I will need to make some necessary sacrifices along the way."
