"In August 2019, I completed a Half Ironman Triathlon. This race entails a 2 km swim, a 90 km bike, and a 21 km (half-marathon) run. All these events are finished consecutively, making this a race of ultimate aerobic stamina and mental fortitude. I am proud to have finished this race, second in my age category. Training for this race taught me how to overcome adversity, as I faced many obstacles along the way such as illness, a knee injury, and bad weather that prevented me from training. Adversity has taught me that my unwavering passion for success can help me to achieve my goals, even when I encounter obstacles."
