Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
The interviewers at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy are interested in your long-term goals within the pharmacy field for a few reasons. First, they want to know if you have a clear idea of what you want to achieve in your career and if you have a passion for the field. Second, they want to see if your goals align with the values and mission of the school. "My long-term career goals are to become a clinical pharmacist specializing in pediatrics. I have always loved working with children, and my goal is to work at a well-known children's hospital on the East Coast since that is where I am from and where most of my family lives. In addition to completing my residency and finding employment at a children's hospital, I plan to stay current in my field by taking continuing education courses, attending seminars, and surrounding myself with other well-respected pharmacists."
