      List a few medical journals you like to read and discuss how often you dive into medical-related news. Perhaps you subscribe to a particular magazine or blog or follow certain social media accounts.

      "I do not have any subscriptions to medical journals; however, my mom, who has worked 20+ years for a medical device company, has always talked to me from a young age about the company's different therapies they have invented. One that has always fascinated me was their deep brain stimulation device that treats essential tremor, Parkinson's, OCD, and depression. They are in studies now for Alzheimer's. This disease is of personal interest to my family as I have a great aunt with it. I have done many papers on Alzheimer's and dementia in general and know my way around PubMed."

      Deep brain stimulation is a fascinating discovery, indeed. I like that you also give the interviewer a peek into your life, allowing them to get to know you a bit better, make a connection, and discover a part of what drives you in your PA education. Excellent approach!
