"I read OSU's 'Be The Model' Strategic Plan, and it impresses me that the school wants to be the model for all comprehensive colleges of veterinary medicine globally. I read that, over the next few years, OSU plans to shift toward an educational paradigm focused on innovative learning and setting higher standards for clinical care. The 'Be The Model' plan is built on the foundation of health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, advancing partnerships, resource stewardship, and alignment with The Ohio State University's strategic plan. The College of Veterinary Medicine will make a significant difference through its six key goals, and I will fully support these principles as an OSU student. Specifically, when it comes to 'Culture and the Sustainability of Our People,' I will be an unwavering advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. I will do everything I can to ensure that the OSU campus is a safe space where my fellow students feel welcome, comfortable, safe, respected, and valued."
