"The other day, I was reading 'Dentistry Today,' an online publication I spend time reading every week. The article that caught my eye was written by Dr. Roger Levin, whom I have followed closely. The article brought up some interesting points, including the challenges we will face in dental staffing and further change in dental technology, which we must embrace to keep ourselves, patients, and staff safe. The biggest takeaway for me was that the author said that those in the dental profession who prepare now and implement changes as soon as possible will most likely see better outcomes."

"I subscribe to Science Direct and recently read an article on the monkeypox outbreak and the implications for dental practices. I learned that the virus is significantly a travel-related disease, and it is recommended for dental practices to have a question on their intake forms asking if the patient recently traveled and to where. I also learned that the premonitory signs of the disease usually appear on the oral mucosa as ulcers and macules prior to the characteristic skin lesions. Knowing that information can help dental practices be proactive and take heightened precautionary infection control measures and patient isolation."
