For this question, your interviewer will be looking to gauge your ability to see the viewpoints and perspectives of those you work with by having you give an example of a time you did so. In your example, be sure to describe the situation and why it was important to see outside of your own two eyes in working with someone else. "Last year, I was asked to be on a project that was focused on reducing our raw materials waste in our manufacturing processes. In representing the warehousing team, I had first hand experience with the amount of waste currently being produced as we handled the disposal of it in my department. Up to joining that project team, I certainly had my own thoughts regarding the amount of costly waste. Now having the chance to meet with representatives from the design and production teams, I took the time to talk to them to get to know their processes so I could get a better understanding of why the waste levels were where they were at that time. Learning their processes included spending time in each area of the production shop floor and talking with those employees as well. This alone gave me a great understanding of why materials could get wasted and also helped me contribute to the project with new ideas."
