"My co-workers would describe my attention to detail as very strong. I can point out spelling discrepancies in communication and l notice the small things. I look at the big-picture as well, but I've always had a knack for the details. My attention to detail was a point of conversation in my last performance review. My manager was pleased with the level of detail I put into a large project recently. I put a lot of pride into my work and it shows in everything I do."
The interviewer is probing about the various ways you handle your work with diligence and accuracy. How you answer will clue them into the level of your skills in your given field.
If this is one of your strengths, offer examples of how your attention to detail benefitted the team. Talk to the interviewer about your level of attentiveness when it comes to details on the job. Even if you don't consider attention to detail to be one of your strengths, focus on others' perceptions of you. Describe how your team members would positively describe your value to the team.
