When I worked in retail, I worked in a specific department with 2-3 other sales associates at the same time. We only had 2 registers, so oftentimes we had to share a register. We had a sales quote to meet, so sharing a register sometimes made making our quota a little more difficult. One day, our department was very messy and unorganized, but if we spent the time cleaning up, that meant it would take away from our time at the register to make quota. My team decided that to get our department clean, we would take equal shifts rotating between working a register and organizing the department. By the end of our shift, we were successful at completing that goal and making our sales quotas.
