Side effects are definitely a potential risk of taking part in a clinical trial. Some other risks participants may encounter that you could talk about here include not being able to choose the treatment they receive, their insurance company not covering all of the costs, frequent testing and doctor visits, and the fact that the treatment might not work at all for them.
