During the Summer of 2020, I enrolled in a virtual study abroad program through the Al-Farabi institute in Almaty, Kazakhstan in order to experience Russian language immersion learning and thus, improve my ability to comprehend data written in Russian for my senior thesis on Soviet Central Asian economics. This program consisted of 6 different courses that took place 6 days per week for about 2.5 months.
